I had the great pleasure of joining HOME IS IN THE NORTH for the second time this November.
HOME IS IN THE NORTH (or “Home Is” for short) is a shopping event held twice this year in Manchester’s beautiful Hallé St Peter’s building in Ancoats.
The 1 day event boasts an impressive list of hand makers and designers, with all sorts of goodies on offer – bespoke furniture, textiles/cushions, ceramic art, prints, greetings cards, lamp shades, wallpapers, quilts, tableware… the list goes on.
Coffee was available from local business Ancoats Coffee Co. which went down an absolute storm – there seemed a constant stream of people getting a toasty brew before they worked their way around the stalls.
For the sweet toothed, Tea With Tom had a yummy selection of cakes available and for those like me who prefer something salty over something sweet, there was Rudy’s Pizza and Fat Annie’s hot dogs.
The event will be returning in April 2015 and I really encourage you to come along – whether you like browsing handmade products, buying things directly from the designer, whether you’re looking for gifts for a friend or for something for yourself, whatever your budget!
